Red Light Therapy
-
Because red and near infrared light act on the mitochondria (the engine of the cell) increasing ATP (horsepower), there are a ton of potential benefits.
Stimulates wound healing and tissue repair
Reduces aging effects by supporting collagen production
Reduces pain by decreasing swelling and inflammation
Improves joint health
Improves physical performance through improved muscle recovery and energy levels
Improves sleep quality and duration
The bottom line is that when your cells have more energy, they simply function better!

Red light therapy is widely considered one of the safest forms of photo-therapy. This is because red light and near-infrared light are low-energy forms of electromagnetic radiation. Short-wavelength light, like ultraviolet light, is considered high-energy light and carries known health risks, such as skin cancer and eye damage with retinal exposure.
Red light does not carry any known safety risks. Some red light therapy providers recommend wearing eye protection during red light therapy out of an overabundance of caution.

The most effective way of using RLT is to directly apply it to the affected body part, either directly in contact with the skin or 4 to 12 inches away.
To get all the above benefits, we can add red light therapy during your Bowenwork or SRT session. For more targeted therapy on severe issues, I can set you up with a device for home use: studies have shown red light therapy is effective with only a few uses a week.
For the best results, you should remain consistent.
RLT is offered THREE ways at Yakima Valley Bowenwork
